ABOUT: Ancient ceremonial and burial site. The inauguration place and seat of the High Kings of Ireland. Lovely to walk around. Has a nice restaurant and souvenir store too.

O'Connells

LOCATION: Co Meath
ABOUT: Pub from the Guinness Christmas commercial, located in Skryne. Over 200 years with the same family. Also beside Skyne Abbey.

Slane Castle

LOCATION: Co Meath
ABOUT: 18 century castle with grounds to walk, restaurant to eat and also have their own whiskey distillery.

Boann Distillery

LOCATION: About 20 mins away in Drogheda.

Newgrange

LOCATION: Co Meath
ABOUT: Heritage site. Passage tomb that is over 5000 years old.

Trim Castle

LOCATION: Trim
ABOUT: This is where Braveheart was filmed. 15 mins away. Can walk the grounds for free or do a guided tour.

Bective Tea Rooms

LOCATION: Co Meath
ABOUT: Bective Stud farm has a team room that does nice breakfast and lunch. Also has grounds you can walk - about 3km

Dunmoe Castle

LOCATION: Co Meath
ABOUT: 5th century castle and national monument. Can walk along the River Boyne to see it.

LOCATION: Co Dublin
ABOUT: City Brewery. Has a tour with multiple experiences including the gravity bar at the top so you can see Dublin city.

Kilmainham Gaol

LOCATION: Dublin City

ABOUT: Former prison now museum. Big part of the Irish revolution and the Easter Rising of 1916.

Phoenix Park

LOCATION: Dublin City
ABOUT: Biggest city park in Europe. Has multiple things to see inlcuding US ambassadors house, Irish presidents house, Wellington monument, the Pope's Cross, Magazine Fort, Ashtown Castle and Dublin Zoo

Glasnevin Cemetery

LOCATION: Dublin City
ABOUT: Cemetery has some of the most famous people in Ireland buried here such as former politicians, president, revolutionaries and musicians.

Dublin Castle

ABOUT: Early 13th century castle built on a former Viking settlement. Now a government building. Can tour it.

Howth

LOCATION: Co Dublin
ABOUT: Howth has numerous things such as the harbour, Deer Park, Howth Head, and you can do a boat tour around Ireland's Eye

Cliffs of Moher

LOCATION: Co Clare
ABOUT: These can all be done on a day out down in Clare. Will need to work out logistics and requires booking

Giant's Causeway

LOCATION: Northern Ireland
